living in faith

by Jen Manning

“And without faith it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
First we must not doubt God’s existence. We realize it takes faith to believe in God. Earlier in Hebrews, faith is defined as “being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”
What about the second part? In The Message Version, “he cares enough to respond to those who seek Him.”
We cannot doubt God’s promises. We should take comfort over this truth that God does respond to our seeking His face.
The cornerstone of faith is diligently seeking God and believing in Him. If we look around at nature we cannot help but see His handiwork.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for allowing us to come humbly before you with our prayers and praises. I’m sorry for my times of doubt. Please help me recognize your answer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Have a wonderful day,
