Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. (Proverbs 3:17)

Proverbs talks a lot of about wisdom. This verse is also talking about wisdom. Wisdom’s ways are pleasant ways and all wisdom’s paths are peace. But what about when you don’t know which path to take? We need to do what it says in Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight. Sometimes, we don’t know which way to go. We have to trust in God and acknowledge him–we have to lean not on our own understanding. He will make our paths straight. It says in Psalm 23:3: …He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. He will guide us in what path to take. However we may not know which path to take without stepping out first. What happens when you discover you’ve taken the wrong path? Sometimes you learn something that you wouldn’t have learned otherwise. It may be God allowed you to take that path to teach you something. But we can also be reassured by Proverbs 2:8: for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones. Even if you take the wrong path by mistake, rest assured that God will protect you. I heard a woman speak at a women’s conference who said that God is like GPS–even if you take a wrong turn, he will get you back on the right path and lead you to your destination.

Have a blessed day,
