God has a Plan

by Kimberly Barry

God has a plan for your life and sometimes it feels almost impossible to see what that plan is. There will be days that you feel confident knowing exactly where God is guiding you and then BAM all of a sudden something happens, someone crosses your path or someone says something that makes you question your purpose. Maybe someone makes you feel like the work you are doing for God is not important. Maybe someone makes you feel like you are not capable. Do not fall into that trap because that is EXACTLY what it is, a trap. Do not let the enemy deter you from God’s plan. You have a purpose. Your purpose is bigger than you know.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God has a plan and the plan is good. “In order that no advantage be taken of us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes” 2 Corinthians 2:11 reminds us that Satan will find creative ways to try to steer us in the opposite direction from God’s plan.

Sometimes these attempts to drive a wedge between us and God can come in the form of other people making comments or attempting to break you down in the ways that will hurt the worst. Satan sees your weaknesses and focuses on those. Sometimes your feelings can be so hurt and you might feel broken. You might question God’s plan. You might question your worth and your ability to fulfill God’s plan. You might question why you try so hard and why you fight the battle. You might even feel like you want to give up but do NOT! Do not lose sight and do not give in. Keep trusting and praising God. Have confidence and faith in the way He leads you. I recently saw a quote that was so true. It said “God has a plan for your life. The enemy has a plan for your life. Be ready for both and be wise enough to know which one to battle and which one to embrace”. These are words that should not be forgotten. They are so very true.

Pray this prayer… Dear Heavenly Father, please guide me and use me in the way that you have planned. Please protect me from anyone and anything that might deter me from your will. Please continue to give me the strength and confidence to live my life in your glory and not to fall into temptation or doubt. In the Lords name I pray, Amen.
