Today’s daily water was written by Doug Markle of Beloved Lord Ministries. Doug’s devotion is a perfect follow-up to yesterday’s entry referring to the Exodus journey and how God fights for us. Check it out…

Exodus 15:22-25 | 22 Then Moses made Israel set out from the Red Sea, and they went into the wilderness of Shur. They went three days in the wilderness and found no water. 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah. 24 And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” 25 And he cried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.

Thoughts: There will be things that happened in your life that make us bitter, angry or resentful.  In those moments, don’t lose faith.  God has the ability to bring an unlikely solution that turns something the enemy meant for bitterness to sweetness.  Something that was meant to tear you down to something that builds you up.  Something that was meant to wear you out to something that refreshes you.

Prayer: Merciful God, thank you for turning the bitter things I may encounter to sweetness.
