“I’m happy from the inside out, and from the outside in, I’m firmly formed. You canceled my ticket to hell—that’s not my destination! Now you’ve got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shining of your face. Ever since you took my hand, I’m on the right way.” (Psalm 16:9-11, MSG)
The right way. Good feeling, isn’t it, being there, knowing the light is from God’s radiance and not an oncoming train? But what happens when you aren’t sure about that feeling? Trust God, because He has your hand.
That last point is key. God does have your hand, and with that, He keeps you going the right way. Yes, there will be times when you encounter difficulties, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you got off God’s path. What it means is that when you face tough times, God faces them with you!
How might that strengthen and encourage you today? Knowing that God is with you in the good days and bad is a life-changer. You might feel like you’re going through hell, but in the immortal words of Winston Churchill, “keep going!” Hell isn’t your destination, so keep going with God…the right way!
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for taking my hand and showing me your way, the right way. Forgive me those times I fear my current difficulties deceive me into thinking you aren’t with me. Help me to know that with your radiance and guidance, you are always with me, just as you promised. I pray this in Jesus’ name.
