Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15) NIV
It’s a season of preparation and celebration for our Savior, Jesus’ birth.
Have you been preparing for Christmas? You’ve probably bought or donated at least one gift. You will probably receive one as well.
It took time, effort, and finances to buy that present. It may have been wrapped. Either by giving or receiving, someone hoped to bring joy into another person’s life.
That’s what God wants for you. He’s wanting to give you a gift so wonderful it outshines anything and everything.
He gave the greatest gift by offering us grace and mercy through the gift of His son, Jesus.
Don’t forget the present of His presence. He is Immanuel, God with us. Don’t let it get buried or lost in the shuffle.
Let His presence in you bring light to all those you come in contact with. May they see His light shining through you.
Prayer: Dear God, I thank you for the best gift. It’s beyond description or comparison. May I always remember you’re with me whether I’m joyful or sorrowful. Amen.
