God gives those who believe in Jesus as His one and only Son amazing gifts. We call them spiritual gifts. They are to be used to serve others, and help God build His forever family. If you accepted Jesus into your heart, you have them, and God wants you to use them.
Our verse for today teaches that “God doesn’t want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible” (2 Timothy 1:7, MSG). Since these spiritual gifts are holy in nature, and designed for supernatural purposes, what reason do you have not to be bold, loving, and sensible? You can use your gifts with grace, knowing that in so doing, God is working in and through you.
If you would like help determining your spiritual gifts, or figuring out how to use them, please let me know (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you would like to do a spiritual gift inventory right now, click this link to get started. I think you’ll find it to be fun, inspiring, and enlightening. Once you know what they are, use them in boldness, love, and with sincerity. Others need what you can bring, and God is counting on you.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for blessing and gifting me with supernatural abilities. Forgive me when I don’t use them in service to others and to help you build your forever family. Help me to serve you by serving others with boldness, love, and sincerity. I ask this in Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
