“Enter with the password: ‘Thank you!’ Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him.” (Psalm 100:4, MSG)
Yesterday I wrote about living in the forgiveness, strength, mercy, and grace of God. It is always there for you, you merely need to live into it. As we follow-up on that today, I wanted to share another posture that you must live into to experience the fullness of God’s love for you. In a word, gratitude.
I love today’s verse from Psalm 100:4, because it positions gratitude as the proverbial password into God’s presence. “Thank you” … two very simple words aren’t just for good manners, but enduring every manner of living in thus crazy world. By giving your gratitude to God, He gives you all that you need, and then some, to navigate the ups and downs of daily living. So when you think about needing to experience the forgiveness, strength, mercy, and grace of God, it begins with a simple, “thank you,” as an acknowledgment you already have it.
so begin today with a “thank you” for all God is and has done for you, it will give you a comfort, freedom and joy that nothing else can give. I hope that you can experience this as you live in gratitude with the Lord God.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you…just thank you. I praise in Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
