Note: Pastor Mark wrote and scheduled several daily waters before the untimely passing of his daughter. He will be away for an undetermined period of time. As you pray to God in your devotion time, please remember the Jordan family.

“I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.” (Psalm 119:60)
Today’s verse makes me think of when I ask one of our kids to do something, and they dilly dally. I don’t like it. Having to ask repeatedly is irksome. As I’ve heard it said before, delayed obedience is disobedience.
Has God asked you to do something and you’re waiting to respond? I’ve been there. Don’t delay to obey. Someone might just be counting in you with eternal consequences. Hop to it!
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your patience with me. Forgive me when I take advantage of it and procrastinate. I want to obey and not delay. By the power of your Spirit, I will. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
