By Pastor Mark Jordan
“May the God of endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude toward each other, similar to Christ Jesus’ attitude.” (Romans 15:5, CEB)
Today’s verse came to me like a fresh drink of daily water. I love how the Apostle Paul prayed that God would give us holy endurance and encouragement so we can have the kind of attitude toward each other as Jesus.
Does it strike you that we need to pray for our attitudes toward each other? That we would need endurance and encouragement in our relationships? The Bible just nails the reality of doing life together, and how it can at times be difficult. Take a deep breath
Have you ever faced a time when you just wanted to throw up your hands and quit?Do you ever just want to go off the grid and disappear? God IS relationship, and wants us to be connected in relationships, too. Yes, that can be hard at times, but we are always stronger together.
As we close today, I want you to focus in on today’s verse again today, and allow it to serve as our prayer.
“May the God of endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude toward each other, similar to Christ Jesus’ attitude.”
