Be Productive

by Pastor Mark Jordan

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” (2 Corinthians 9:6, NIV)

Yesterday we looked at the law of the harvest, and how you have to reap what you want to sow. I hope you reflected upon planting the right kind of seed so you can harvest the best kind of fruit. Today, I want to look at the verse again, but think of it in terms of volume.

If you sow a little, you can expect to reap a little. The more you sow, the more you reap. If you want a good harvest, you have to work during the planting season. But I have some really good news for you…our Lord is one of multiplication!

If you plant one tomato seed, do you just get one tomato? Nope, that’s not how it works. When you plant a seed, you can expect a harvest many times greater than the one seed. The lazy might be inclined to sow a little expecting a decent return. But what if you take God’s law of harvest multiplication and really put it to the test? If you strive to plant spiritual fruit, God dramatically multiplies your harvest!

God wants to help you produce great spiritual fruit. Be productive for His produce, and He will guarantee your success!

Prayer: Dear Lord, I want to be productive for your spiritual produce. Forgive me for the times I get lazy and plant a little while expecting a great return. I want to share your spiritual fruit with the world so everyone will know me as one of yours. I pray this in Christ’s holy name. Amen.
