by Pastor Mark Jordan
Greetings, my friends and family. Today is my final installment of daily water. Don’t worry, this important ministry will most definitely continue. I will also carry on in sharing hope and good news on a regular basis, though the frequency and format might change a bit. That is not what’s important, though; what I want to convey right now is my gratitude.
Gratitude is one of the most godly virtues. Gratitude forces one to recognize we cannot do life alone. We need the Lord, and we need the people the Lord gives us to do life with. In recognizing this, we must come to the point regularly where we simply give thanks to God…the One in whom we live, move, and find our being (Acts 17:28). It is in this gratitude that I share today’s verse…
“First of all, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because the news about your faithfulness is being spread throughout the whole world.” (Romans 1:8, CEB)
I want to take this space to say the same thing. Thank you. I thank God in Christ Jesus for all of you, because you have helped the Good News of God spread throughout the entire world. Daily Water is something that truly embodies Trinity at The Well’s mission to reach Cartersville, Bartow County, and even the entire world! People in our church, throughout the community, of various nationalities, and even on several continents read this daily blog, and share its contents with believers, new and old alike. You’ve done that. You do that! And for that reason, I thank God.
Keep sharing the Good News. People need it. The world needs it. Now, as much as ever. And as you do, remember the WHY; for Jesus Himself said that a cup of cold water given to anyone in His name is doing it for heavenly glory (Matthew 10:42). Therefore, keep sharing this daily water, and as you do, know you are sharing heaven with a world so desperately in need of it.
I love you.
I thank you.
Go with God…go in peace…and go in love.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you for how your Word is shared with creation. Help us to be contagious Christians, so the world may know that you are real, you love us, and have a plan and purpose for our lives. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
