“Now it’s up to you. Be on your toes—both for yourselves and your congregation of sheep. The Holy Spirit has put you in charge of these people—God’s people they are—to guard and protect them. God himself thought they were worth dying for.
Acts 20:28 MSG
Today let’s give thanks to our church Pastors, our leaders who have stood by with us during this pandemic, listened to our struggles and our joys. Let’s thank them for holding us up in prayer. Let’s give thanks for their leading us through these days with a word of hope, and sermons that soothe us or challenge us. Let’s remember to pray for each of them as they learn to lead us in the new normal that is church. Let’s us show them grace and mercy and love as they have shown to us. Let us encourage them and show them we appreciate their hard work and effort.
It’s not been easy for them at all. As the body of Christ, we can show them kindness, acceptance, and understanding. I am sure they have been carrying a heavy load for their families, their congregation. After all Jesus did for us, giving thanks to God and our church leaders is a wonderful way to love them through.
What example can you share that really helped you through this?
Prayer: Thank you for guiding our church leaders every day as they do your will. We give thanks to You Lord for their perseverance during this pandemic. Help us to be their support and shining light for them. In Jesus’ name, Amen
